Give to the KCDC

Resources

The K-CDC offers a wealth of education for parents in the areas of child development, early childhood education, parenting techniques, health, safety and nutrition.

One of the most important ways this happens is when parents learn in the classroom alongside the children. Interactions with the children expose parents to a wide range of behaviors and learning styles, immerse parents in the educational philosophy of learning through play, and offer many opportunities to observe and learn from our teachers.

In addition, we gather several times a year for parent in-service opportunities. These might include our parent orientation nights, discussion groups of books, articles, or videos, or a focused workshop.

All of these interactions help form a strong support network of families and friends.
